I hired Adcor in 2022 to repair water damage in my house and create a legal basement apartment. Their workmanship and carpentry skills are impressive, and the end result met my expectations. Shane is knowledgeable and insightful, while Rowan has been an invaluable anchor throughout the project as the manager. I especially appreciate Rowan's brilliant design in placing the main door, window, and closet, which significantly enhanced the basement's appeal. His diligent collaboration with the engineer on designing and constructing the new lower roof was also commendable.
I am very pleased with the insulation work done on the roof and walkout basement. Additionally, I appreciate their assistance in preparing the paperwork required to secure the energy retrofit rebate. Duncan and the rest of the crew have consistently been helpful, pleasant, and professional. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail on the bathroom tiles were exceptional.
Despite encountering some challenges during the project, their team ultimately delivered a successful outcome. I highly value their skills and would definitely recommend them to others!

Adcor did a wonderful job rebuilding the crumbling balcony on our old home. Shane was knowledgeable and responsive. He took the time to assess the structure and worked closely with us to design a three-season covered space that enhances the character of our old home. Rowan and the crew on site were very professional, friendly and helpful. They were also very safety conscious including COVID precautions that were important for us. The whole team takes great pride in their work - the carpentry and finishing touches are really beautiful and we are so happy with the end product.

While there were some delays due to the varied scope of things needing done and supply chain issues (hence the four rather than five stars), we were kept fully abreast of the timeline as it proceeded. We were introduced to Shane/Adcor from neighbours who had work done and highly recommended them. When we first met Shane we were impressed by his professionalism and general comfort level he had with all projects. The scope of our project was quite large, initially we were going to add on an addition to accommodate our 3 children. Once we realized we would have to leave our home for 6 months as the scope of the project developed, we also decided to renovate the other half of our home. There was literally nothing in our home that hasn't been redone. So Adcor literally guided us thru the design stage, permits, general construction and finishing. We thoroughly enjoyed having Shane/Rowan and the Adcor team work on our home for as long as they did. They always consulted us on the details, to make informed choices, they always gave us accurate estimates of the work, they always cleaned up after each day, and they finished the work in the scheduled time frame as they said they would. There were a couple of small hiccups along the way, which is always expected, but these were handled very professionally and honestly. We were so happy with the work that was done, we had them come back and refinish/convert our garage into our home gym a few months later! We are fully satisfied and impressed with the work of Adcor. We think of them as family and would recommend them to anyone. Attached a couple photos, don't mind the mess.....3 kids and a dog!

We have used Shane, Rowan and the Adcor team a couple times now, and my partner before he and I met used them more than once as well. They know their business, do excellent work and have always done everything possible to ensure we are satisfied. Shane has been in business a very long time and seems to be able to fix just about anything – he’s technically very strong. On more recent projects we have dealt mostly with Rowan who is a dream to work with. He clearly loves what he does and working with both clients and his crew. The guys on our job were wonderful and such a pleasure to have around. On top of their commitment to quality work, they are meticulous about the work site and were very careful that we were disrupted as little as possible during the reno. We did run into some challenges with our supplier which caused long delays and lots of frustration, but Rowan did everything he could to address any issues with the supplier and never once did we feel that Adcor was passing additional costs onto us. In fact, I know they lost money while guys waited on site for deliveries and things arrived out of sequence for the job. While the delays and dealings with the supplier were frustrating to us, it could have been so much worse with a different contractor. With all said and done, we absolutely love our new bathroom. I’m sure we will use Shane, Rowan and the Adcor team again in the future.
We used Adcor in 2019 to do a basement reno.We felt we needed more space, including an office and a second bathroom. We received several quotes, most builders recommended a costly extension. Shane from Adcor, saw the potential of our dank basement and proposed a basement reno that met our needs without the high costs of an extension. We lived in the house throughout the project. The construction team was courteous and tidy and communicated well with us throughout the project. We now have a dry basement, with a second bathroom, office space and storage. Follow ups after the major work was completed and paid for were always completed promptly.

We had the team at Adcor out to install some interior partition walls, doors, and a new closet. From the first meeting with Shane to walk the project and provide an estimate I knew we were in good hands. Adcor had come highly recommended to us and I could see why. Shane walked through everything we were looking to do and provided valuable suggestions on how best to make it all work within the existing house. When the crew was on site, they were knowledgeable, punctual, and clean. Each day ended with a thorough vacuum and tidy up, which was especially important as we had a toddler. Colton, Rowan, Duncan and the other crew on site kept us up to speed on how the project was progressing, and consulted on any changes needed due to material availability. It was clear that they were most focused on making sure we were happy with the outcome. We would wholeheartedly recommend Adcor and Sons, and will have them back should we need any more work done.
